Scope: Black-and-white art presentation within the published and officially announced BRZRKR record.

Poetry of Madness Pen & Ink presents Steve Skroce’s Atlantis special in a format centered on line work and production commentary.

BRZRKR record

BOOM! announced Pen & Ink editions as special presentations of existing BRZRKR art. The Poetry of Madness edition retains the same underlying story of B, Zubatai, Azaes, Vizane, and the fall of Atlantis.

Why it matters

Removing or reducing finished color changes how the art is studied and collected. It does not create a second version of the plot.

A BRZRKR edition is a physical or digital presentation of published material. Format, contents, printing, and packaging can change while the underlying story remains the same. The useful distinction is between a new narrative, a new collection of existing narratives, and a new presentation of already published material.

Physical identification begins with the exact title, contents, publisher, format, and printing. An ISBN can distinguish a book-market edition, while an issue number, cover designation, or indicia line distinguishes a comic-market object. Those identifiers matter more than a seller’s shortened title because several official BRZRKR releases contain the same story in different forms.

Confirmed limits

The edition should not be counted as an additional in-story appearance for every character already present in the standard issue.

Unconfirmed dates, credits, contents, formats, or story connections remain open. Later official material can extend the record, but it should not be anticipated as fact.
