Scope: Creator, writer, performer, and producer within the published and officially announced BRZRKR record.
Keanu Reeves originated BRZRKR and made his comic-writing debut on the core series. His involvement connects the original comics, later historical specials, the prose branch, and the screen projects announced by Netflix.
BRZRKR record
Reeves co-writes the twelve-issue series with Matt Kindt and is credited across later publications including Poetry of Madness, The Lost Book of B., The Bleeding Tide, Light Draws Breath, and The Book of Elsewhere. Netflix announced him as the live-action lead and producer and as the English-language voice of B in the planned anime.
Why it matters
His original idea establishes B as an immortal warrior whose physical appearance evokes Reeves while remaining a fictional character with a history independent of the actor’s film roles.
BRZRKR changes creative teams as it moves from the twelve-issue series into historical specials, prose, and announced screen work. Credit therefore belongs to a particular publication and role. A contribution to one branch does not imply work on every issue, and cover work remains distinct from interior storytelling.
Credits are most useful when they explain what changed on the finished work. Writing determines structure and language; interior art determines bodies, spaces, and visual sequence; color establishes atmosphere and separation; lettering controls the visible sound and pace of words; design and covers establish the publication’s outward identity. Each role contributes authorship without erasing the others.
Confirmed limits
Reeves is not the sole writer or artist of every BRZRKR publication. Individual credits identify the collaborators responsible for scripts, finished art, color, lettering, and design.
Unconfirmed dates, credits, contents, formats, or story connections remain open. Later official material can extend the record, but it should not be anticipated as fact.
