Scope: Co-writer within the published and officially announced BRZRKR record.
Matt Kindt is the co-writer of the original BRZRKR maxiseries and a returning writer on The Lost Book of B. His work helps organize B’s modern government bargain, recovered memories, and long historical movement into a single comic narrative.
BRZRKR record
The core credits pair Kindt with Keanu Reeves, Ron Garney, Bill Crabtree, and Clem Robins. BOOM! later reunited Reeves, Kindt, Garney, Crabtree, and Robins for The Lost Book of B., extending B’s history into the Mongol era and the Lugalṭur material.
Why it matters
Kindt’s contribution anchors the principal comic continuity. Later one-shots use other writers and artists, but their stories inherit the questions about memory, violence, mortality, and ownership established by the original team.
BRZRKR changes creative teams as it moves from the twelve-issue series into historical specials, prose, and announced screen work. Credit therefore belongs to a particular publication and role. A contribution to one branch does not imply work on every issue, and cover work remains distinct from interior storytelling.
Credits are most useful when they explain what changed on the finished work. Writing determines structure and language; interior art determines bodies, spaces, and visual sequence; color establishes atmosphere and separation; lettering controls the visible sound and pace of words; design and covers establish the publication’s outward identity. Each role contributes authorship without erasing the others.
Confirmed limits
Kindt is not credited as the writer of every Bloodlines or Blood Oaths story. Those publications must retain their issue-specific writing credits.
Unconfirmed dates, credits, contents, formats, or story connections remain open. Later official material can extend the record, but it should not be anticipated as fact.
