Spoilers: This article covers the gateway ritual in BRZRKR: Poetry of Madness #1.
The Atlantean ritual cups are vessels used in Vizane's gateway ceremony. They appear with B's blood, the primordial-ore sword, the stolen obelisk, the Aklo scrolls, and the northeastern tower. The issue presents these elements as one arrangement; it does not establish that a cup can open a gateway by itself.
Place in the ritual
Vizane's followers assemble material, text, location, and living blood into a single operation. The cups hold or present part of that material and give the ceremony a deliberate structure. Their importance comes from their place in the sequence rather than from a separately named power.
The vessels also reveal how Vizane treats Atlantis's protected knowledge. Objects preserved within the city's religious and historical institutions become tools for his movement. Their use joins theft to ritual: material held for safekeeping is rearranged to force contact with Cthulhu.
Limits of the evidence
The publication does not identify the maker, date, material, inscriptions, or earlier owners of each cup. It does not confirm that every vessel came from the reliquary. Their shared classification is therefore functional: they are the cups or vessels visibly associated with the gateway ceremony.
The cups should not be treated as a universal form of Atlantean technology. They belong to one documented ritual whose result depends on several components and on Vizane's choices. After the gateway opens and Atlantis falls, their individual fate is not shown.
Significance
The ritual cups are minor objects with a decisive role. They show that catastrophe does not depend on one all-powerful relic. It can emerge when ordinary containers, forbidden writing, sacred material, political ambition, and an immortal body are made to serve the same purpose.
