Scope: Writer and screenwriter within the published and officially announced BRZRKR record.

Mattson Tomlin writes BRZRKR: Fallen Empire and is publicly connected to development of the live-action BRZRKR screenplay. His comics work focuses on Asana, Olos, Washukanni, testimony, and the destructive use of B inside a political relationship.

BRZRKR record

BOOM! announced Tomlin with artist Rebekah Isaacs for Fallen Empire. In the same announcement, Tomlin described his experience adapting BRZRKR as a feature film, establishing his connection to both the comics special and the screen-development branch.

Why it matters

That combination makes Tomlin a bridge between forms, but the comic and film remain separate works. Fallen Empire stands on its own as a narrator-shaped historical tragedy.

BRZRKR changes creative teams as it moves from the twelve-issue series into historical specials, prose, and announced screen work. Credit therefore belongs to a particular publication and role. A contribution to one branch does not imply work on every issue, and cover work remains distinct from interior storytelling.

Credits are most useful when they explain what changed on the finished work. Writing determines structure and language; interior art determines bodies, spaces, and visual sequence; color establishes atmosphere and separation; lettering controls the visible sound and pace of words; design and covers establish the publication’s outward identity. Each role contributes authorship without erasing the others.

Confirmed limits

No completed film, release date, director, or final screenplay details are confirmed by the publisher announcement. Screen development does not change the comic’s continuity.

Unconfirmed dates, credits, contents, formats, or story connections remain open. Later official material can extend the record, but it should not be anticipated as fact.
