Scope: Writer within the published and officially announced BRZRKR record.
Jason Aaron writes BRZRKR: A Faceful of Bullets, a historical special that places B in nineteenth-century American violence and forces him to choose between serving private power and protecting people caught inside it.
BRZRKR record
BOOM!’s second-printing announcement identifies Aaron as writer, Salvador Larroca as artist, Lee Loughridge as colorist, and Ed Dukeshire as letterer. The story is later collected in Bloodlines Vol. 2.
Why it matters
Aaron’s contribution gives the franchise a western register without turning B into a conventional frontier hero. The special repeats the core question of who directs his strength in a setting shaped by land, coercion, and revenge.
BRZRKR changes creative teams as it moves from the twelve-issue series into historical specials, prose, and announced screen work. Credit therefore belongs to a particular publication and role. A contribution to one branch does not imply work on every issue, and cover work remains distinct from interior storytelling.
Credits are most useful when they explain what changed on the finished work. Writing determines structure and language; interior art determines bodies, spaces, and visual sequence; color establishes atmosphere and separation; lettering controls the visible sound and pace of words; design and covers establish the publication’s outward identity. Each role contributes authorship without erasing the others.
Confirmed limits
The special’s historical atmosphere does not make every detail a direct statement about real events. Its publication and collection credits remain separate from the core series.
Unconfirmed dates, credits, contents, formats, or story connections remain open. Later official material can extend the record, but it should not be anticipated as fact.
