Direct Reserve is a defined distribution channel, allowing an exclusive to be verified without relying on an anonymous marketplace description.
Collecting information describes publication objects rather than story continuity. A foil treatment, signature, retailer logo, grading label, or new cover can make a copy distinct without adding a new event to B’s life. Official publisher and edition records carry more weight than undated resale descriptions.
