Scope: Publicly identified feature writing work within the published and officially announced BRZRKR record.

Mattson Tomlin has publicly described adapting BRZRKR as a feature film while also writing the Fallen Empire comic special.

BRZRKR record

BOOM!’s Fallen Empire announcement quotes Tomlin discussing the feature adaptation and identifies that work as part of his professional connection to the franchise.

Why it matters

The screenplay is a separate transformation of the premise. Its existence can be confirmed without assuming which comic scenes, characters, or chronology a finished film would use.

Screen development is separate from comic and prose continuity. Only officially announced rights, formats, participants, and roles are treated as confirmed. A project announced for development has not necessarily entered production, received a release date, or established a separate finished continuity.

Development reporting is especially vulnerable to old announcements being repeated as current production news. The stable facts are the date and wording of the official announcement and the roles explicitly named there. Silence after an announcement is not proof of cancellation, while continued discussion is not proof that cameras, animation, or release scheduling have begun.

Confirmed limits

A public statement about adaptation work does not confirm a final shooting script, production start, director, release date, or completed film.

Unconfirmed dates, credits, contents, formats, or story connections remain open. Later official material can extend the record, but it should not be anticipated as fact.
